Colour in clay

A Joyful Exploration

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with a bit of colour in my clay work. It’s been a proper joy to see how adding different shades and percentages can transform a piece of porcelain. I'm basically turning each ceramic piece into a little colourful experiment, and it’s adding a whole new dimension of joy to the process.

Another thing I’ve been loving about this whole process is treating it like an artist’s palette. I’m taking just three colours and discovering how many wonderful shades I can create by mixing and experimenting. It’s a bit of a colour theory adventure, and it’s truly surprising how many hues you can coax out of just a small handful of colours.

I’m really embracing that, and it’s making the whole journey feel like I’m painting with clay. It’s an exciting experiment, and I can’t wait to see where it leads!
